Three Widerman Malek Attorneys Become Partners

Attorneys Kelly G. Swartz, Eric L. Hostetler and J. Mason Williams IV have become partners at the firm!

Kelly, as an equity partner, is board certified in intellectual property law and practices in the areas of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets and unmanned systems.  Kelly serves as chair of the Board for weVENTURE, a non-profit organization focused on accelerating sustainable business growth for women entrepreneurs. She has also served as a board member of the Brevard Schools Foundation, Brevard Bar Foundation, and Brevard County Bar Association. She further gives back to her community as a member of two public school advisory committees and a Justice Teaching volunteer.

Eric, as a non-equity partner, focuses on a full range of civil and commercial litigation including contract disputes, recent lawsuits surrounding Title III American with Disabilities Act “Tester” cases, and insurance and homeowner claims.  He has served on the board of directors for the United Way and was chair of the Emerging Leaders, a group of young professionals dedicated to volunteering and supporting the United Way and its agencies. He is also on the Foundation board of directors for Bridges, is board president for the Melbourne Civic Theatre located in downtown Melbourne and incoming board governance chair of the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Mason, as a non-equity partner, attends to a full range of civil litigation including construction, contract and business, guardianships, trusts, and probate. He has experience working with nearly all levels of government and governmental agencies throughout Florida. He is a Registered Engineering Intern (E.I.).  Williams is very involved in his community and serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Morgan Project. He is the President of the Barry Law School Alumni Association, and a member of the Junior Achievement of the Space Coast Golf Tournament Committee.
